THERAPY SERVICE

Couples Counseling

Therapy to improve and strengthen the relationship between you and your partner.

Couples therapy, also known as marriage or relationship counseling, is a type of therapy designed to help couples improve their communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship.

In couples therapy, both partners work with a trained mental health professional to explore the challenges they are facing in their relationship. This may involve discussing specific issues, such as communication problems, intimacy issues, or infidelity, as well as exploring deeper issues, such as unresolved childhood traumas or individual mental health concerns.

We provide a safe and unbiased space for both partners to express their thoughts and feelings, and help you develop strategies to improve your relationship. We ground our couples work in the Gottman Method to facilitate these conversations, teach communication skills, help you set realistic expectations, and facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Couples therapy is not just for couples who are in crisis. It can also be beneficial for couples who want to strengthen their relationship, deepen their emotional connection, and enhance their overall quality of life together.

02.
Initial Session

In this session, we focus on getting to know each other and learning more about the history of your relationship. We’ll ask questions about how you met, what your current struggles are, what your strengths as a couple are, and what your mutual goals are for our work together.

03.
